Question by bunni: what’s a good non-steroid creme treatment for psoriasis?
i have a large amount of plaques on my body, especially my hands, feet, and elbow. i’m allergic to one of the cremes i was perscribed (salex) and need something that will treat my psoriasis quickly as i’m moving next month and can’t keep getting treatment here and it would probably take a while before i could find a new dermatologist. is there anything anyone recomends that i should ask my doctor about? (i’m also using taclonex ointment, cutivate lotion, and colbex spray, but these aren’t working nearly as well as the salex which i can’t use)

Question by Winston: Is there a good cream or treatment for psoriasis at target, walmart, a drugstore?
I’ve been breaking out with it on my hands pretty bad because I work with chemicals.
I was just wondering what you could suggest over the counter that would be easy to find. I can’t go see a doctor for more serious things, so I can’t see him for a rash.

Answer by Mugwump You said you work with chemicals, so I’m wondering if it is something that you are coming into contact with at work and not psoriasis. You mentioned that it was on your hands but didn’t mention any where else on your body that was infected. I presume you wear rubber gloves at work. If you don’t, maybe you should. Tegrin makes a pretty good line of treatment products for psoriasis. or you might try some medicated hand cream like Jergens. Psoriasis is a lot more than a skin rash. It’s a disease of the immune system where for unknown causes the immune system gets messages that there is damaged skin, and it goes to work trying to fix the damage by making new replacement cells. One little trick to tell if it’s psoriasis. check your fingernails. If you find ridges or little pits in the nails, that’s a good clue that it is Psoriasis.

Hi there, I am Kieth. From my photo, there is no way you will know that I suffer from psoriasis. Since you are here, my guess is that you or someone you love is suffering from the same condition.
When I was younger, I used to feel sorry and angry at my condition. But now, I have learned to accept it. In fact, this has helped me to stay focused on finding solutions to my condition.
While there is no cure, I did manage to find Revitol Dermasis which is really a god-send relief cream. It has taken a great deal of pain and discomfort away from me. You should really try it.
