Why does getting a sunburn/tan make psoriasis go away?

My mother went salon tanning for over a year. Before she went tanning she had no previous history with psoriasis. However, when she stopped tanning she developed a case of psoriasis on her arms and legs. She had to use special cream to make it go away.
This summer she got a sunburn on her arms which turned into a tan…it made her psoriasis go away! Why?
Hi there, I am Kieth. From my photo, there is no way you will know that I suffer from psoriasis. Since you are here, my guess is that you or someone you love is suffering from the same condition.
When I was younger, I used to feel sorry and angry at my condition. But now, I have learned to accept it. In fact, this has helped me to stay focused on finding solutions to my condition.
